handmade boxed stationery
The Brand: During a trip to India, Hiroko discovered a band of paper artisans and print-makers, using traditional methods passed down through generations. Inspired by how they gave old cotton garments a second life as handmade paper, she came up with the idea of Hataguchi Collective—traditional paper products with a modern aesthetic. With a desire for people to rediscover the joy of finding a personal letter in their mailbox, Hiroko reminds us that one of the best gifts you could give to someone is that of handwritten words on paper. She hopes that her products inspire people to share their feelings in that tangible way.
Description: Handmade of up-cycled cotton using techniques passed down through generations, these cards have a very special tactile quality a machine could not reproduce. The set includes ten folded blank cards with ten plain envelopes packaged in a box covered in matching pattern. The paper is hand screen-printed with Hiroko’s magical patterns. In keeping with a zero waste ethos, the box can be used for your keepsakes after using up all of the notes!
Details: 10 folded blank cards and envelopes in a matching box, cards measure 4” x 6”, box measures 4.5” x 7” x 1.5”. Designed in San Francisco and handmade in India.
A Note From Erika: These are so special! The paper, the patterns and the box all combine to make these notecards the perfect gift. (Add one for you too!)
